Load up Outlook Express and then go to the Tools Menu and select
Accounts. You should get a screen that looks similar to the screen
shot displayed here. You will need to click on Add and then a pop-up menu will
show itself. Select Mail. The Internet Connection Wizard
will pop up and ask you for your name. After typing in your name, hit
Next and you will then be asked to enter your e-mail address. Hit
Next after doing so and then it will ask for e-mail server names.
Make sure that your mail server is specified as a POP3 server. The
incoming (POP3) server to put in is pop.dcn.davis.ca.us. The
Outgoing (SMTP) server is smtp.dcn.davis.ca.us. The next screen
will ask for a "Friendly Name" for this mail account, and you can type in
whatever you like. For the next screen, you will want to choose Connect
using my phone line. The last screen will say "Congratulations!" and
you can hit Finish. To see if Outlook Express is configure
properly, go to Tools and Send and Receive. Any new mail you
have should go to your inbox.
